Welcome To Molli's Garden!
It's been over seven years since the idea and the name for this site was placed in Jill (Mattison) Ririe's heart soon after her 15 year old daughter, Molli, took her own life on July 16, 2001. So many visitors have spent time here and been helped, by the grace and love of God. Please take a moment to check out our Guestbook, along with leaving an entry. It brings such comfort to know you have visited. We hope you enjoy our new look on this new site. Please spread the word to friends and relatives, and let us see that this new format is making a difference. We welcome any suggestions to make this a better place for you to visit. If you have visited before, some of the information remains the same because it has been helpful to others, but you will also find new and hopefully interesting pages as well.


The Goal of Molli's Garden
Our goal here is to reach out to young people of all ages and let them know that they are valuable - You are valuable - to God, to the World, and to us. If you are struggling in pain with making a choice between ending your life or getting help and hanging in there for another day, we want to be that hand reaching out to you to encourage you. If you know someone who is contemplating hurting themselves, we offer tools and wisdom. If you are a parent of a young person, educating yourself to all the concerns and dangers makes you a good parent because suicide is no respector of persons and has and will hit whomever it can.

You will learn about Molli, a beautiful, young girl who loved the Lord, and who spent her entire life helping and caring about others; even talking kids out of taking their lives only to take her own. How could that happen if she loved the Lord? The enemy is a liar who is out to kill, steal, and destroy, and he doesn't discriminate who he destroys. Even though there were no signs leading up to the sudden, devastating choice that Molli made, our purpose in creating this site isn't to figure out the reason, known only to God. Molli's entire life was Christ-based, and the Lord knew her heart. The goal here is to reach out to all for God's glory so that those who are hurting will know there are other choices and many who care.

This site is also about the pain left behind for family and friends in the wake of the choice and completion of Molli's suicide. It's real, and we talk about it here to present both sides. If Molli had known the pain caused by her choice she would never have made the drastic decision that she did.

Molli's Prayer
Molli wrote and recorded the prayer shown below. It is proof of the faith and love she had for our Lord Jesus, which is all God requires for us to be with Him in Heaven when we die. She asked Him for forgiveness and there's no doubt in my mind that He's given her that.

The tragedy is that Molli didn't seek and find answers to whatever pain she was feeling so that she could fulfill God's plan for her. Our cause is to stop this from happening to even one family - by helping everyone learn how valuable they are - not only to those that love them and would be left behind, but to the World...

My Prayer
When I feel all alone in the world,
His light shines through my heart.
Though I cannot see Him,
I feel Him in my every move.
He takes away my pain.
W hen I find myself stuck in a world
Where my weaknesses overrule me,
I find myself sleeping just so I can visit Him and walk through the gates of Heaven.
T hen when I wake up, all is well.
It happens a lot, though I don’t mind visiting perfection more than once a day.
I hope I'm the person
He intended me to be.
I pray and pray every night to shape and mold me into a better person.
Then my world stops.
I freeze and look around me and realize
That I'm the luckiest person alive.
I have a good family, and good friends
Who never make me feel less
And I have wonderful things.
M y Lord and Savior, I thank you
For everything you've laid in my path.
I'll ask you to forgive my sins and to help me only grow from them and shape me
Into the person I was destined to be.
